Lest we forget.

Leaving loved ones behind to defend our way of life,

Ever present dangers and atrocities plague this global strife,

Sensing a purpose for standing up for what we believe in,

Testing our resolve and commitment will never be a sin,

We face the ultimate battles with bravery and courage,

Even in the face of fear remains a forthright image,

Fighting down those full of resentment and hate,

Ordinary men and women with pride in combat and fate,

Relentless aggression from wicked forces pushes them on,

Gaining a sense of victory but knowing each of us is a pawn,

Eventually succumbing to the ultimate price being their lives,

Teaching future generations to continue forward in making strides!
